BCAN Patient Handbook Download

US non-profit BCAN - the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network – has produced a handbook for bladder cancer patients, Bladder Cancer Basics for the Newly Diagnosed. This handbook helps patients learn about their diagnosis and treatment options to enable them, with the help of their medical team, to make informed choices about their continued medical care. The handbook offers a variety of information about the disease including the types of tests used to diagnose bladder cancer, what it means to "stage" and "grade" the disease, an overview of the types of treatments prescribed as well as resources for the proactive patient.

This informative publication is made available to The Canadian Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (CBCAN) at no cost through the support of BCAN, a US-based nonprofit organization.

We suggest you visit BCAN’s website at www.bcan.org, which contains additional information and resources about bladder cancer.
